MODTOES started from a simple frustration — off-the-shelf sandals fit an average foot, and most feet aren't average. Instead of designing another fixed insole, we built a mechanism: a threaded post embedded in the sole, and a set of interchangeable modules that twist on and lock flush. One sandal, adjustable to how your foot actually loads weight.
Where things stand
We're pre-launch. The mechanism is patent-pending — a non-provisional utility application has been filed with the USPTO covering the indexed forefoot grid and the threaded module system. We're currently running prototype trials with early testers before committing to a first production run.
We'd rather be honest about that timeline than manufacture false urgency. If you reserve a spot on our list, the only email you'll get is the one that matters: that a real pair is ready to ship.
Who's behind it
SquachAcers LLC
A Florida limited liability company based in Quincy, Florida, founded to design and bring MODTOES to market.
Small team, hands-on
Product design, prototyping, and this website are all handled directly by the team building the product — not outsourced to an agency.
A note on claims
MODTOES is footwear, not a medical device. Any references to fit, comfort, or foot alignment describe the mechanism's design intent — they aren't medical claims, and MODTOES isn't a substitute for advice from a podiatrist or physician.
